A Painting of wild flowers in a beautiful blue vase.
Flowers bring joy because of their beauty of shape, colour, texture, and scent. I have not bought cut flowers for many years.
When I wish to give flowers as a gesture of my love, I create an artwork and give this. Although my efforts only touch on the experience of giving and receiving cut flowers, it is my modest effort to reduce the exploitation of one life for the sole pleasure and comfort of another. Flowers are best when left to live, and for me, their sacrifice must always be mindful.

By Water's Edge These Flowers Take
From brook that flows through River Bourne,
Where gentle arc of sand meets sea,
We spread as bed of shells and laughter on this beech far flung and free.
With love,
With wave our friendship laps upon this ancient shore,
With sound of gull in glint of sunlit blue with more than time itself,
We two as one,
On coastal land,
With dream of life and rush of wind this heart we pledge,
Set sail our journey now and new as we embark by water's edge.
