Swim

Blue-green water, interrupted by smaller dots of coloured figures who rise above its surface then shrink into the distance.

The Imperfect Beauty of Life

Many and One

When I look out from the shoreline I see water and people. My experience is not fragmented into countless, distinct elements. I sense an intermingling of one with another. One particle of water with another, one person moving with the water. The whole scene before me is a single, dynamic, flowing entity. I wonder whether the same will be true for a being with artificial consciousness. I wonder whether each element that could be sensed in minute detail will become one, or whether what is experienced is in some way similar to the artwork Swim.
