A colourful, symmetrical, abstract artwork.
I ponder on a person's world with a bright and vivid centre that fades in colour and definition towards each corner. I think of each little shape as a memory or experience, compartmentalised within a vast area we call our recollection.
The moments of our memories fade, yet even those that do form the character and quality of who we are, and what remains.
. . .
There is no telling what art will persist in its force and affect on me. I can be utterly transfixed by a painting, only to feel less affected by it a few short weeks later, and others like As Moments Fade that I continually return to, and take something new from, despite my not being so convinced that what I had made at the time would pass the test of time.
As with everything I make, it is the interaction of language (a work's title at the very least) and the art medium (light in this case), that resonate within me. Resonance of sense, mind, emotion, and spirit.
