Confined: limited: in movement; with others; in practical or emotional opportunity.
Early morning, spring, and blossom encourage hope, even during times of pain and suffering.
As I return to this work it continues to encourage me to ponder as I discover its light. Perhaps it is the way the beauty of colour, line, texture and form interact, or the wilderness, sea, and distant mountains that give rise to the rich landscape of feeling and thought that is at the heart of experiencing art. It is not always possible nor important to articulate why my feelings about an artwork persist. For now, as with love, all I know is that I want and need to return here, for each time I do, a part of what it is to be alive begins once more...
The artwork, a visual image and its title, is completed by poetric text at Encyclopedia Utopia.

The Arms of Light Enfold
Across the border bathed in brightest light,
In clear and northern air your arms outstretch,
I stand in breathless wait,
In captivated gaze,
I hold this moment still and calm,
And then between the you and I,
The ease of trust descends,
Two worlds collide with touchless tenderness,
Too faint far words remote convey,
To be this simple pleasure pleased,
To stay at early dawn and dew,
Your morning gentle fresh,
This clear and warmth of you,
Your open arms of light enfold.
