Railway Tracks at Edinburgh Waverley

The south side of Waverly Station with its tracks of gleaming silver-white under strong morning sunlight, with dark cabled gantries surveying the track ballast below.

At the heart of Edinburgh, in a steep, narrow valley between the medieval old town and the 18th century New Town lies Princess Street Gardens. I rarely take tonal photographs or industrial landscapes, but just now and again it seems nothing better captures the moment.
