Hear Me

For Voices, Strings, Piano, Trombones, Solo Cello, and Solo Clarinet

Hear my sleep, my whisper, my breath at rest, my dream.

Each of us rest, if only for a short time. We lie in the arms of our mother, our father, with those we love, our cot, a bed, a hammock, the cold hard of floor, the earth, a cell, alone. We lay under the stars, a blanket, the rain. We sleep with the never ending sound of city, of silence, of sea or land. No matter where, our rest shows us undisguised, honest, disarmed.

Hear me, here.
